Story
Linda and David, both Salisbury Trussell Trust volunteers, will be escaping the warehouse during late October and early November to attempt the famous Wainwright Coast To Coast Walk, raising funds for The Trussell Trust.
They will be backpacking and camping all the way - 190 miles - over Lakeland fells and the Yorkshire Dales and Moors. It will be an especially hard test for veteran athlete, Linda who has Fibromyalgia, which causes her much joint pain and fatigue. David's challenge will simply be to keep up with Linda! Both will be trying to stay dry, warm and free from blisters and de-hydration in the Autumnal weather conditions.
Please support them and help to raise £3000 to help change lives here in the UK and in Bulgaria.
The Trussell Trust is a Christian charity that partners with local communities to run practical projects like foodbanks that tackle poverty and marginalisation in the UK. The economic crisis has seen the need for foodbanks soar nationwide and the Trust is increasingly stretched to meet demand. They are currently launching three foodbanks every week in the UK, providing men, women and children with three days emergency food and support. The Trussell Trust also runs Houses of Opportunity for Bulgaria’s orphanage leavers.
