Story

As followers of Cycle2ConquerCancer will know over the last few years I have been taking on cycling challenges to raise much needed funds for Cancer Charities and to raise awareness of symptoms. Events like The Red Dragon (200 miles in 48 hrs) and of course The Dragons leg have , with your help, raised over £25,000 and of course for 2016 the 24hr Leg is already pencilled in.

After that there will be one more major challenge which I'm please to announce today; in December 2017 I will be attempting to cycle 18,000 miles virtually around the world. On a Tacx Neo turbo trainer which will simulated the route and gradients. This should take approximately 6 months. this has not been done previously so if Its completed it will be a first and a record.

I am taking on this challenge for my lovely wife Rita, #wingsbeneathmywheels,  who passed away in April of this year after fighting Bowel Cancer for four long years. So in her memory it will be called The Virtual World Ride for Rity. Rita wanted to raise awareness and funds to fight all forms of cancer so in her honour I will be riding for Bowel Cancer UK and Velindre hospital.
