UPDATE: WE COMPLETED BEN NEVIS ON THE 29TH AUGUST 2009
We all arrived at the top of the mountain at 1.10pm after setting off at 8.30am. It was freezing at the top so we headed straight back down again and after a few more agonising hours of descent we had all reached the bottom by 4.30pm.
This is to help raise funds for Callums Trust - a charity recently set up by our friend in memory of her husband who died aged 35 after a 3 year battle with lymphomic leukaemia.
I was accompanied by the rest of the OPA team i.e. Vinny Bryson, Stewart Sutherland, Audrey Finney and my wife Sharon.
Callum's Trust is a Charity based in the Scottish Borders which aims to offer essential resources and services to lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma patients and also those receiving end of life cancer care within the Scottish Borders. The ultimate aim is to build a palliative care unit/ hospice as there is'nt one in the whole region.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Regards
Richard Harlow
