Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am 14 years old and a member of the Solent Dog Display Team which is part of the Solent District Dog Training Club (http://www.sddtc.freeserve.co.uk/). We raise money to help fund equipment for the University of Cambridge Veterinary School Trust small animal treatment unit (http://ucvst.vet.cam.ac.uk) If you’ve ever had a sick or injured pet, you’ll know what it is like to want the best treatment for them as quickly as possible. Cambridge Veterinary School Trust is one of the best animal hospitals in the country and specialises in treating animal cancers. Our dog club has raised over £125,000 for the Trust, to date and last year I cycled 100 miles in 10 hours, collecting £200 in sponsorship towards our club total of £7,000 raised in 2009. This year I am cycling from the New Forest to Cambridge over two days, starting on 3rd August and after spending some time at the veterinary hospital, I hope to cycle back again (if I’m not too saddle sore!!). I will be cycling on my own, with my mum following in the car (because she would just hold me up if she cycled too!) We are not looking for a few people to donate lots. We would rather have lots of people donating a little. Thank you for reading this and for considering giving to help all our pets.14/08/10
Well I completed the ride. Please have a look at my photos
Thank you to everybody who has sponsored me so far and to the following companies who have provided pet food and other items for raffle prizes to help boost the funds.
Arden Grange
Supreme Pet Foods
Hills Pet Nutrition
Wagg Foods
With the help from these companies and everybody's generosity, both on and off this site I have already gone past my total target. I am now aiming to raise £1,000 so please keep donating
