My story
WOW! We did it! Thank you so much for your sponsorship which kept me going up the toughest hills when I felt shattered. It rained almost constantly (well, we did go through the rainforest). The locals were bemused and very very friendly. And our team raised over £75k!
In June 2012, just after my 40th birthday, I'm going to cycle 500km through the breathtaking scenery of Madagascar, to raise money for the inspirational transport charity Transaid. This is a real personal challenge (when I signed up, I didn't even own a bike!).
I've previously visited Zambia and Ethiopia with Transaid and seen their work at first hand, making transport safer and more efficient so people get access to healthcare and economic opportunities.
