The construction team for Phase 2 of the Children's Hospital for Wales all wanted to contribute to the fund raising effort by taking part in a cycling event - one group cycling from Holyhead to Cardiff (240 miles) and another from St David's to Cardiff (120 miles) in support of the Noah's Ark Appeal.
The Noah's Ark Appeal is the only charity exclusively raising money for the Children's Hospital for Wales. They are currently trying to raise £7 million to equip phase 2.
The event is planned for Friday 10th June 2011 and will take part over the course of 24 hours with the St David's route cycling continuously and the Holyhead route in a cycling relay. Training has started in earnest but with a big target to reach we all need your support. Please note these are not club racers just ordinary folk, some of whom haven't ridden more than twenty miles in one go in their lives.
