A few people from the Higher Education Precinct Bicycle Users Group (HEPBUG) completed the C2C (Sea to Sea or Coast to Coast) route at the end of June, a few of us within that group (David, John and June) wanted an extra incentive over and above the personal challenge so decided to ride in aid of the Children's Heart Association, a small charity dedicated to children and the families of children with a heart problem.

We completed the route from Whitehaven in the west to Tynemouth in the east over a three day period.

We covered over 60 miles the first day, over 40 miles the second day and a similar amount the third day, there are quite a few big hills as we cycled across the Lake District and Northumberland, the fish and chips at the end were very nice.
