Place2Be is a children's mental health charity that works to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We help them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.

Story

I am walking 28km's on Saturday across the South Downs way to support a great cause which Coutts has taken up as one of its charities of the year. I have seen this first hand with my own children's friends and they need so much support and guidance that many of us don't know how to give. Place2Be takes up the slack and bridges that gap.

1 in 8 children today have a diagnosable mental health problem.50% of people with lifetime mental health problems first experience symptoms by the age 14.Rates of depression and anxiety among teenagers have increased by 70% in the past 25 years. This is why Place2Be's work in schools throughout the UK is so important. I'm supporting mental health because it's a cause that means a lot to me. I would be so grateful for any support you're able to give - together we can make a real and positive difference to children's mental health.
