My dad was diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer in 2010. We were recommended the Beating Bowel Cancer website by the hospital, and it provided all the information we needed. The charity itself provides a 24 hour helpline for anyone who is concerned about bowel cancer, as well as numerous information leaflets, and an online forum for both patients and carers. 

My dads cancer was diagnosed at an advanced stage and there is no cure. There were practically no symptoms either, apart from bleeding from the bum. If caught at an early stage, 90% of cases can be cured. I'm fundraising for this charity so that I can help raise awareness of bowel cancer, and help promote the charity, who have provided invaluable support to our family.
