Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 5th September 2010 I am running Bristol Half Marathon followed by Cardiff Half Marathon on 17th October 2010 in aid of St Peters Hospice. For the Bristol Half I am running in a team of Sole Sisters alongside the Mayor of Bradley Stoke who is also running to raise money for St Peters Hospice.

On 4th July 2010 sadly my cousin Mandy Nelson lost her battle to cancer after an eight month fight. Mandy lived life to the full and was only 40 when she passed away leaving a 3yr old son Elliott, husband Dave and sister Bernie. Mandy spent her last few days in St Peter's Hospice and after visiting her there made me realise what an amazing job they do. Their support to families at this sad time is second to none.

As many of you will also know my step-dad Robert Derrick has advanced kidney cancer which is currently being controlled by the drug Sutent and is doing really well.

We all hope that we will never need to use the facilities of St Peter's Hospice but in the unfortunate event that we do it is comforting to know the invaluable care and support you will receive from them.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate now.
