Each day in the UK five families are told their child has cancer or leukaemia. From that moment on their lives will never be the same again. Most children will survive, some will die, but the scars on every family will remain. CLIC's role is to try and help these children and their families cope and keep life as normal as possible. It offers an all-embracing approach including practical hands-on care, clinical services, financial and emotional support. CLIC has joined together with Sargent Cancer Care for Children to become the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity.

Story

I know there's been a lot of charity requests recently but if anyone has been touched by childhood illness they will acknowledge the importance of this cause. In addition, any support will spur me on at 4am on Sunday morning as I fix a puncture in the pitch dark with rain pouring down. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

CLIC offers practical hands-on care. Each day, five families in the UK are told their child has cancer or leukaemia. From that moment on their lives will never be the same again. Most children will survive, some will unfortunately die, but the scars on the family will remain. Our role is to try and help these children and their families cope and keep life as normal as possible.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: CLIC will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Cheers,

James
