Special Olympics GB was established in 1978 and offers year-round sport training and competition opportunities open to all people with learning disabilities regardless of their ability. Events are modified where necessary to give athletes with severe disabilities opportunities for meaningful participation, with an emphasis on regular training with qualified coaches.
