CRUK Cambridge to Newark bike ride · 29 August 2015

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

On 29th-30th August 2015 nine ordinary guys, who should probably go to the gym more often, are trying to get home to Newark on their bikes from the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute.

It's 200 miles and we have only got 2 days, so we have a lot of training to do.

Why is it 200 miles we hear you ask? Well cycling from Cambridge to Newark is not far enough we thought...stupidly. So why not stop off for the night in Burnham Market in Norfolk on the way just to spice things up!

We may not challenge the Tour de France but we are all determined to raise as much money for this great charity as possible, so please do dig deep. All of your donations will be most appreciated, and you can also donate via text by texting 'NEWK51' with the amount to 70070.

Here is a list of the team, so if you know any of them you can lend them your support:

  • Rory O'Connor
  • Nigel Allen
  • Dermot O'Connor
  • Tom Allen
  • James O'Connor
  • Leon Rumble
  • David Round
  • Greg Bateman
  • Pete Hill

Thanks a lot
