In this region some events move fast, like Reverend Rodriguez’s dubious trial without notice in Cuba this September, which CSW swiftly spotlighted, helping secure his rapid release.  If CSW had not alerted the UK authorities and the EU to his situation over the last 21 months, together with mobilising supporters in prayer and solidarity, his trial could have resulted in a serious injustice being committed. 

Other situations can take years to bear fruit and require ongoing energy and commitment to bring lasting justice and change.  Just this July, a horrifying massacre and displacement of a Christian community in Cordoba, northern Colombia, helps clarify the urgent need for CSW to continue working on the region.
