<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 15px;">Having successfully reached our target for the Deaf/Blind communicator we are now looking to raise funds for a new minibus. The minibus helps us to help more people in the community by enabling us to collect them from their homes and bring them to CVAB so that they can participate in the activities here. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;">We are in need of a new minibus because although they are kept in excellent condition they do so much work that their age catches up with them quickly. </span></p>

<p>As you can see we have now reached our target of £7,000.00 for purchasing a Deaf/Blind Communicator. Many Thanks for all the contributions that have enabled us to purchase this vital piece of equipment that will greatly enhance the life of many. </p>
<p>Croydon Voluntary Association for the Blind serves visually impaired people by offering specialist information, resources and rehabilitation. We are seeking to raise funds for specialist equipment, in particular a deaf/blind communicator. This enables deaf/blind people to communicate with anyone by means of a braille to text system. The cost of the equipment is £7,000.00 with training.</p>
<p>Gordon Harmer, Richard James and backup/driver Kevin Hoare took on the National Three Peaks Challenge on the 13th/14th May 2010. They scaled Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 23 hours and 40 minutes in their sponsored event.</p>
