The Aims of the Air Cadets are:

üTo promote & encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.

üTo provide training which will be useful both in the Service and civilian life.

üTo foster the spirit of adventure and to develop the qualities of leadership and good citizenship.

 

WHAT WE DO; We seek to provide children (from all backgrounds) with opportunities and deliver benefits for each cadet, our local Community and society.  We want to provide educational value, support for local schools, fun, team/individual development and community benefits.  Our Cadets are encouraged to be respectful, develop life-long skills, become positive adults, serve their community, collect for local charities and realise their potential. We try to help young people stay out of trouble and look forward in life .  The Cadets deliver on many levels e.g. research has shown that Cadets are 500% less likely to become involved in Anti-Social behaviour.

HOWEVERwe receive no government funding so are very reliant upon the goodwill and support of our local Community.  No activities/events would happen without adequate funds.  Every available penny raised goes towards delivering training/activities for Cadets and the above.  No monies raised goes on wages as we have a dedicated group of adult volunteers (BUT could always do with more !).
