Story
My story is about remembrance....
As my annual holiday this year I have decided to walk the coast to coast walk. The walk consists of a total of 192 miles and runs through 3 national parks; The Lake District, The Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors.
I am doing this to raise sponsorship for the Royal National Institution for the Blind (RNIB). The reason being just recently my Great, Great Aunt Ruth passed away and I loved her very much. Ruth struggled with blindness when she was in her 70's and she found it hard to get on with every day jobs. Blindness affected her greatly as, like me, she loved to read. Talking books came to her aid and she was able to continue her great love of reading. My big goal is to raise £1,000 which will enable the RNIB to publish a brand new talking book. So the reason why I am doing this walk is for My Aunt Ruth as I know she would have been proud of me.
Please sponsor me as it will help people like my Aunt Ruth continue with their lives without blindness stopping them. So dig deep and help me achieve my goal of £1,000 as you could make a HUGE difference!
I am starting my Coast to Coast journey on the 24th July and from then onwards you will be able to access my blogs and photos at: http://www.caitlinsc2c.blogspot.com/ so make sure you follow me as there will be lots to catch up on and to hear.
Thank you, Caitlin
