Tuesday 8th March heralded the second consecutive year of our endeavouring to ring some ladies-only quarter-peal attempts* for the centenery of International Womens' Day. Our primary aim was to have some fun and gain some confidence on the ropes, but this was also coupled with the hope of raising some much needed funds for the domestic violence charity, Refuge.

Although our overall score-rate was modest (well... compared to our initial ambitions!) two resounding successes of the day came in the shape of a wonderful quarter of 'Cambridge Surprise Major' called by Linda Foddering of Kingston/ Norwood Green towers; a remarkable acheivement, given there was not a single experienced conductor amongst us! Details as follows:

Holy Trinity, West Hill, Surrey
