Story
A couple of months ago I signed up to do the Palace to Palace cycle as part of an Accenture team to raise money for the Prince's Trust. Plenty of time to dust the cobwebs off my bike and get a few practice rides in...right?....Weeelllll let's just say the training hasn't gone quite as well as I'd hoped. I'm sure 45 miles can't be that difficult? Can it?...
Am I worried? Absolutely.
Will it hurt? Almost definitely
Am I going out the night before and therefore planning to do the ride with little or no sleep starting at 8.15am? Maybe
Can I do it? With your support!...
The one thing that's going to get me to the finish line (or at least to the start line) on Sunday morning is the fear of letting down all the wonderful people that support me.
If you are wonderful, please donate to a great cause (see below) - as much as you can afford, even if its just £1, will help toward reaching my target of £250 (which I have 2 days to reach :) )
The Prince's Trust supports 13 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people helped by The Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or they have been in trouble with the law.
The Trust’s programmes give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work.
The Palace to Palace cycle has become a key event for Accenture in our support of the Prince's Trust Charity over the years and we are hoping to increase our participation and fundraising targets again to maintain our position as leading corporate fundraiser for the event.
We hope that through our participation, we can raise global awareness of the great work that the Prince's Trust does, while also raising money to sustain the charity for future generations.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and thank you in advance to all you wonderful people who make a donation...
Wish me luck!
