Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We will be taking on a father/daughter challenge to cycle a rather hilly 75 miles around Nottinghamshire and the Derbyshire Peak District on Saturday 23 August. The ride is part of the University of Nottingham's Life Cycle 5, raising money for dementia research.

Please take the time to sponsor us to give us some encouragement on our way around the course!

More than 800,000 people in the UK have dementia, which can reduce an independent, healthy person to one who struggles in most aspects of life. Life Cycle 5 aims to raise £350,000 to apply the University of Nottingham's world-leading expertise in MRI scanning to the study of dementia and other degenerative conditions of the brain. This will pave the way for earlier diagnosis and the development of treatment tailored for individual patients.
