Cardiac Risk in the Young Verified by JustGiving
RCN 1050845 (England & Wales), SC052581 (Scotland)
Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Calor's JustGiving page.

On Sunday 11th October a Calor team of 6 including Managing Director Stephen Rennie, will participate in The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, a sponsored 13.1 mile run through London's four Royal Parks.  Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, the route runs across Hyde Park, St. James’s Park, Kensington Gardens and Green Park.

The Calor team is aiming to raise £10,000 for Calor’s corporate charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) – an organisation that raises awareness of conditions that can lead to young sudden cardiac death.  Every week 12 apparently fit and healthy young people (under 35) die in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions.  CRY works with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of the young.

The Calor team will be supported by sponsorship donations from across our business, and we would be very grateful if you are able to contribute to this extremely worthy cause.
