For my 40th birthday I wanted to do something special and something I would never forget. Anybody who knows me, knows my love for cars. So I decided to enter the Rust Bucket Rally. This is a challenge for charity in which you purchase and run a car (yourself) for no more than £500. You have to drive this car for 4 days, totalling 2500 miles and spanning 7 countries... the aim is to make it and raise as much money as possible for a truly outstanding cause!

If you have children you will understand why this cause is a so meaningful... The charity selected is "Children Are Butterflies" - Children Are Butterflies is a Northampton based charity. They offer practical and financial support when arranging a funeral that was probably not expected and not planned for, more importantly it provides emotional support through an established network of parents and families who have suffered similar losses.
