Story
Thanks for visiting my page!
About 11 months ago, Typhoon Haiyan (known locally as Yolanda) hit the Philippines hard. The death toll soared over 4200, while roughly 1900 went missing. I've decided to spend the tail end of my big trip volunteering on Leyte in Tacloban City - where around 25,000 people are still displaced. All Hands, the organization I'm with over here, is devoting the next month to raising 1.1 million pesos: 1 peso for every home damaged or destroyed by the typhoon. This money goes directly towards building permanent homes for the displaced families, families who are currently living in absolute dire conditions under makeshift tarp roofs. Your donations help us purchase and build permanent core shelters for these families.
I'd greatly appreciate any support you can offer up ma friends and fam. Even just a few bucks helps!
