Every 9 days in Scotland a baby or child will die suddenly and unexpectedly - many of their families will never know why they died. As the only charity in Scotland dedicated to the issue of Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI), we provide support, education resources and fund research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am fundraising in memory of Layla Jade Lovie.

Sadly on New Years Day at 5.30am 2013, Layla passed away in her sleep, aged 11 days. Layla was a delight to behold and filled everyones hearts with an enormous joy from the moment she was born.

After a little help to concieve, Jenna and Ronald welcomed the late but safe arrival of their beautiful daughter Layla Jade Lovie. She was born on December 21st 2012 at 6.37am weighing a healthy 6lbs 13 & 3/4.

When I received the news of Layla's death it filled me with a heartache & grief. I felt completely numb. Jenna & Ronnie (Laylas parents) were amazing and were helped and supported by The Scottish Cot Death Cahrity - and now they want to help other parents through this terrible period with charitable donations to look into helping get closer to recognising and hopefully in the future preventing this happening to all future parents.

Now a little bit about the Justgiving & how it works.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
