My story
Inspired by the forthcoming Olympics, this summer Canford pupils will be aiming to complete 2,012km in just one day. They will be raising money for Diverse Abilities, an independent, not for profit organisation working together with families to help meet the needs of local people, of all ages with physical and learning difficulties.
Reaching our target
The 2,012km total will be reached through a variety of activity challenges:
Sporting challenges such as running, golf, swimming and kayaking
Literary challenges such as poetry composition
Wheel based challenges including a pushchair stroll and wheelchair push
Height challenges including zip wires and abseiling
Gift Aid - Ticking the box, what does it mean?
Under Gift Aid, the HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will usually top up every £1 given to Right To Play with 25p. So Right To Play could receive £250 for every £1,000 donated with no extra expense.
For donations to be eligible for Gift Aid, the donor needs to be a UK taxpayer and have paid an equal amount in income/capital gains tax.

Diverse Abilities Plus
Charity Registration No. 282197
Diverse Abilities Plus, Dorset's disability charity, was founded 58 years ago by a Dorset family. The charity has grown to support 500 children and adults in Dorset every year with physical and learning disabilities. The charity must raise £1/2 million this year to provide it's vital support.
