I am walking  Fife  81 miles of Coastal Path in aid of Canine Partners for Independence which trains dogs to assist disabled people in their daily lives. CPI dogs do a variety of tasks, including helping with dressing, fetching items, helping to open and shut doors, to the more specialised task of anticipating seizures or alerting emergency services. What is fascinating about these dogs is their ability to learn and adapt to new situations, and their sometimes eerie capacity to anticipate the needs of their human companions.

I am also holding a photo compeition in aid of Canine Partners (Closing date 31st Oct 2009)
