Raising money for Trinity Hospice

Trinity Hospice provides care for people with advanced illnesses within their homes or at the hospice. We support them in living every moment and achieving the best possible quality of life. Everyone receives the treatment and support they require however long it is needed, free of charge. We offer our services to a population of ¾ million people in central and southwest London and support over 2,000 people a year. This financial year we must raise close to £7.6m, only around a third of which comes from the NHS. We were founded in 1891 and are the oldest hospice in the UK.

WE DID IT!!!!

From 9am on Fri 22nd July to 4pm on Sun 24th July the Capital NUNS played 55 hours of netball and became world record holders!!!

The whole experience was incredible.

The NUNS really had to dig deep to keep running on aching and injured limbs and bursting blisters but it was worth it when we broke the record at 54 hours and 15mins and then pushed on through to the 55 hour mark.
Tears of joy, relief and exhaustion were shed throughout the weekend and there wasn't a dry eye in the house when "3 cheers for the Capital NUNS" were shouted at the end.
It was truly amazing and even more fanatastic is that we have raised over £22,000 for Trinity Hospice (team members have set up their own Just Giving sites along side this one). Thank you to those who have already donated and please give generously to all those yet to donate! Big thanks go to all the volunteers and officials who helped out over the weekend and to Shell who generously donated their sports facilities at The Shell Centre on the South Bank. We couldn't have done it without you. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.
