None of us can say that the stresses and strains of life today will not take their toll.  We don't know if and when we may need support and guidance at some time during our lives.  Mental health illness is rising with more and more people, including children, suffering from anxiety and depression.

I think its fair to say that most families will be affected by some form of mental illness during a lifetime, its not an exclusive club and impacts everyone.

Rethink Mental Illness charity supports 60,000 people every year through crises with over 200 mental health services and support groups across England.

So that's why I've taken the mighty challenge of signing up to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge - Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowden over the weekend of 22/23 June - to help people who need the support and care now, and to help continue the worthy work of this special charity.
