Story

Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.

Although the main recipient of this year's Lord Mayor's Appeal is the Trauma Unit of the Royal London Hospital, other key recipients are "The Rowing Foundation" and "London Youth Rowing". Both charities aim to make rowing accessible to young people. From my 15-year old son, who has only been rowing since January 2011, I have seen the benefits from the sport in somoene of his age. He has grown in confidence and developed a sense of purpose and determination which I attribute to him taking up this sport. I can only assume that rowing has the same impact on other teenagers, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Please give generously and help teenagers in the country, particularly those in London, develop a positive focus in their lives through rowing.

Thank you

Carel
