Run to the Beat 2013 · 8 September 2013 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm taking part in Run to the Beat for Alzheimer's Society alongside around 90 other Alzheimer's society runners!

My grandmother 'Nans' has dementia, so this is something that's really so important to me and my family.

By speaking about my grandmother's dementia I hope to shine a light on the condition that affects 800,000 people across the UK. My family and I rely on the help of organisations like Alzheimer's Society to help us understand the disease and guide us in the care of my grandmother. I want to help do all I can to support them to defeat dementia and that's why I’m taking part in Run To The Beat. By sponsoring me, you can help support people with dementia today, and help fund research in a cure for tomorrow.
