Story
I did it!!!
I ran my first half marathon on Sunday 26th September in Greenwich and finished in 2 hours 27 minutes - my goal was to complete within 2.5 hours so did it but only just!
Run to the Beat had nearly 18,000 competitors and I'm really happy and proud to have been a a part of it. I ran as part of the Lupus UK team; for those who haven't heard of lupus before, have a read to the left of this page and you'll see that it affects mostly females, some 50,000 people in the UK and there is as yet no cure for it. My beautiful aunt Edna has suffered from it for years so this charity is really close to my heart and I ran with her in mind...
I initially pledged to raise a minimum of £300 and I'm chuffed to pieces to say I've hit that target and would love to raise more. I have a little while longer to collect as much sponsorship as I can so would really appreciate it if you would support me by donating through my JustGiving page which is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
Thank you in advance for your support and to everyone who has sponsored me so far.
Big kisses, Cri x
