Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I will keep this short and sweet.

In 2008, I spent 3 months in Ghana coaching rugby in schools. It was easily 3 of the best months of my life, not just for the experience, but recognising that the little I had to offer could have such a profound impact.

What I did was no anomaly. There are 000s who do the same all over the world every year, providing expertise and assistance in communities without many of the privileges that we have.

Although getting 3 months off work may be nigh on impossible, I am delighted to say I am going to be travelling to Tanzania at the end of March, to join up with Bhubesi Pride; an incredible expedition which started in January, seeing a team of 6 people driving through Africa over 6 months and coaching rugby in developing communities.

Their plans are pretty incredible, and you can find out much more on their website - http://rugbyinafrica.org/

Anyway, their expedition may only touch the communities that they visit, but their broader goal to raise awareness and funds for the charity 'United Through Sport stretches far beyond Africa.

So I am not running a marathon, or sitting in a bath full of baked beans, but hoping to raise awareness for this incredible expedition, and amazing charity.

I have an ambitious target, but if everyone I know digs in a donates a fiver, we will smash this target with ease.

Thanks again for taking the time to read all this, and hope you can find some change to contribute. Do it for the kids :)
