Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In March 2014, I will embark on a charity fundraising challenge to complete the 2186-mile US Appalachian Trail, which starts on Springer Mountains in Georgia and finishes on Baxter Peak in Maine. The trip will take me through 14 states, following the Appalachian mountain chain through areas full of black bears and rattlesnakes, with an ascent equivalent to climbing Everest 16 times. I'm aiming to walk between 20 and 22 miles each day and finish at the end of July.

I will carry all my kit, sleep under canvas each night and only enter towns for resupply or medical assistance. I have planned only three rest days 1300 miles into the trek, staying with nearby family.

I am aiming to raise £5,000 for Reverse Rett and anything you can donate will assist me in achieving that goal.
