KEEPTHEBEAT Remembering Harvey Coast to Coast ride · 9 May 2015

KEEPTHEBEAT is a charity established to provide hope and support to the families affected by congenital heart defects. The Charity will have a particular interest in Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, but over time we hope to develop and cover all CHD's.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to consider sponsoring me.

So why am I doing this?

I'm doing this for a few reasons. I was fortunate enough to meet a really great bunch of cyclists last year, sadly one of the members son Harvey,  passed away at the age of 7 in 2011 - no further explanation required, but on top of that another members son Albert was born 5 years ago with a heart defect and last year received a heart transplant, he is doing great now but I can't imagine the stress and worry they experience. The care and expertise they received from Glenfield hospital was phenomenal and this is my way to extend a thanks and a well done to the hospital unit that helped so much.

KEEPTHEBEAT continues to provide Equipment, fund staff training and on-going support to the unit - being part of this event, enables me to play a small part in fundraising for the future support of affected families.

There's 24 others that have decided to do this ride including Harveys father, Bryan. And Alberts father, Adam.

We would dearly love to raise all the £25,000 needed for a special piece of kit for the hospital, so anything you can give will be gratefully received. Thank you sincerely.
