Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. After years of psyching myself up, I have taken the plunge and entered the Challenge Henley event, on 16th September, 2012. This is a an Ironman distance triathlon, 3.8km swim in the River Thames, 190km bicycle ride, followed by a marathon. My aim is to complete in under thirteen hours.
I am raising money for two charities, and this is the page that I have set up for Greyhound Rescue West of England, a charity that rescues stray and abandoned sight hounds (greyhounds, lurchers, and whippets) and then seeks to re-home them. We have two lurchers (Stanley and Lenny) and a whippet (Tully) at home, and my wife does volunteer work for the charity. It is interesting and rewarding work, and this is a great opportunity to raise funds for a small but deserving charity.
