“I'm taking part in the NW 1/2 marathon, C'fon 10k, 4lakes 30k, Bangor 10k, Snowdonia Marathon and finishing with the Conwy1/2 from August to November to support friend and neighbour Irfon Williams who has launched #teamirfon - a fundraising campaign to raise initially £20,000 to support the Alaw Unit in Ysbyty Gwynedd where he is currently receiving treatment as he battles bowel and liver cancer.

 #teamirfon has been set up by Irfon Williams and his family to create good times and to thank all those on the Alaw Unit helping patients with wigs for women, toys for children and to help with the mental health of dealing with cancer for patients and families/friends with a counselling room and therapy for patients.

Due to the success of the campaign the target changed to £30,000 and after smashing through that it again changed to £40,000. Now that total has been passed the focus is now on breaking through £50,000.
