Story
I am taking take part in the Wishes4Kids sponsored tandem 13,000 ft parachute jump on July 4th! We will freefall 8000ft, travelling at 120mph and covering each 1000ft in 5 seconds before deploying the parachute and landing safely (I hope!)..I feel very strongly about Wishes4Kids and the amazing work they do with children who are sick or suffer from emotional or mental trauma. They grant wishes to these children and their families and give them fantastic memories. I am involved as my friend's daughter Megan, has benefited through this charity since being diagnosed with an illness when she was a toddler, she is also one of my daughter's best friends. By sponsoring me you will be helping to make a child's dream come true and giving them and their family memories that will mean so much.
No matter how big or small, every donation will make a difference (and the sheer terror of the jump more worthwhile!!!) It is a frightening prospect jumping out of a plane but nothing compared to what these children have to go through, so I am very proud to be doing this for them...
