The last year has been nothing if not a pretty extreme challenge for me, and training for this triathlon has been life changing.  Since this time last year I have lost over 91lbs in weight.... If you'd have asked me last June if I would ever compete in a triathlon the answer would've been a resounding no!  Orginally Wendy suggested the triathlon as a way to help me stay on track, and it's really helped me.  Without Wendy there constantly pushing me to keep going and stick with it I don't know if I'd have managed all the training, hard work, and of course the diet!

The challenge of completing the triathlon in September has kept me focussed, and even more so because I want to raise some much needed funding for a fantastic charity.  My aim is simply to complete the triathlon, and if I trail home in last place, that's just fine because it will still be a huge personal achievement.
