I am taking part in a 10K run on October 18th at Hatfield House. This run is to raise money for Cancer Research. My family are going to sponser me and their contribution will go to this very worthy cause that is close to my heart. However, I am asking my facebook friends if they would kindly sponser me for another charity that is also very special to me. A good friend of mine passed away very suddenly in August 2007. He was a wonderful husband to my friend Donna and dad to Ted who was just 7 at the time. A charity called CHUMS were very quickly on hand to help support Donna and Ted at  this very difficult time. Chums is a bereavement service based in Bedfordshire and it aims to meet the needs of young children and adults following the death of someone close. Through activities and group discussion they help these children come to terms and explore their feelings, and help them to understand what has happened to them. The service is totally free and Ted can dip in and out of it until he is 18.

Chums has been an invaluable source of support to Ted and Donna during an incredibly tough time. Please sponser me what ever you can afford , because every penny really does count!!!
