Story

I have set myself my biggest running challenge to date.
On October 24th at 10.30am I will be running around Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales and in Great Britain, South of the Scottish Highlands. A total of 26.2 Miles!!
Personally I wanted to do this, for a number of reasons:
1.) I am a complete nutter and running is my passion. I wanted to set myself a challenge that would push myself and my running to another level. I have completed the London Marathon back in 2007 in under 4.5 hours and as part of my intense training, I have and will be running a Half Marathon and more (13.1- 20 miles!!) EVERY week up until October. I have just completed the Milton Keynes Half Marathon on behalf of the NSPCC in 1 hr 57 mins.
I chose the Snowdonia Marathon, as it is the most gruelling yet best Marathon to run in Great Britain. If I survive this then my plan is to run and compete in Marathons around the world next year.
2.) Because it is an immense challenge, I knew instantly that I wanted to run it for a worthwhile charity, that of Neurofibromatosis, not only is it an underfunded charity, but one that I feel is in need of recognition, especailly in this country. A charity that is also personal to me as a close friend of mine is a sufferer of this rare and debilitating condition, as a result he has innumerable tumours on the nerve endings along his spine and Sciatic nerve, causing him to be in severe pain, alongside the other associated problems, such as Hydrocephalus and partial deafness.
As this condition has no known cure it is essential that money is raised to go towards vital research.

Thank you for taking the time to read my Just Giving page.
With your help I know we can raise lot's of money and spread awareness.
So please dig deep and donate now.

Many, many thanks Carly xx
