Hi Everyone!
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am raising money for St Joseph's Hospice in London. They are an incredible team of individuals who care for terminally ill patients not just at their Hospices but at the patients homes too, as well as supporting the families who are also dealing with their loved ones illness. They cared for my nan when she was terminally ill and our family cannot express how reliable and caring they were throughout this difficult time.
They rely heavily on donations from the public and charity events so to put this in perspective St Joseph’s services costs around £12million each year - just under 40% of that is met by the NHS, via the Primary Care trusts. The remainder, more than £7 million, must be raised from charitable donation.
So........this is where I was brave enough to sign up for the Great Wall of China Trek in October. This will be an amazing experience to visit one of the 7 wonders of the world and to do something a little out of the ordinary for a good cause!
