We have now returned from India where we took part in Cycle India 2010 - We cycled 190 miles over a period of 4 days, through the state of Karnataka in Southern India. The money raised will go to Heal, a small UK charity looking after orphaned and underprivileged children in Andhra Pradesh, India. Check out the Heal website at http://www.heal.co.uk/.
Having visited the Heal Children's Village and seen what Heal does with their money, we are now even more passionate about the cause than before. It's truly incredible what this charity is doing for so many children and the quality of life they are giving to children is amazing.
Heal is working hard to take children out of child labour and helping them get a good education so they can escape the cycle of poverty. All the money raised from Cycle India 2010 will be used towards HEAL's biggest ever project - a new model residential school for 1000 orphaned and underprivileged children.
In order to raise the target amount of £5000 we have undertaken a wide range of activities.
