Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am embarking on a trip to Malawi in April 2011 to help rebuild and renovate a school in the village of Kawiruwiru Junior School in rural Malawi. The school presently has only one classroom which caters for Years 3-4 and other classes are taught in another dilapidated structure.

The school is also without adequate toilet facilities which can cause illnesses for some of the kids so the aim is to also upgrade these.

I'm really honoured to get the chance to travel to Malawi and get the opportunity to meet some of the locals and perhaps in a small way contribute to improving their lives and education. However, I do have to meet a fundraising target of about £1500 and so I'm reaching out to you to help me achieve that amount. All the money will go towards the project (I pay towards my travel and accommodation separately) and will help Plan International continue the amazing work that they carry out in the region.

I've attached some photos so you can see where I'm going and the existing structures that the school utilises. Apparently the kids are really eager to learn and although they have nothing but a blackboard, they adore school and their teachers.
