Story

Hi

Our names are Neil and Carol Rowntree and our son Connor who is 16 was horrendously burnt on May 17th 2009 whilst staying overnight at his friends house. Connor and his freind were messing about with petrol which resulted in Connor being set alight. Connor ended up with full thickness burns to 90% of his  whole body. This resulted in him being in hospital for 11 months and 2 weeks under going  over 100 procedures. He needed so many skin grafts which was extremely difficult as they only had his scalp and buttocks to use as donor skin. During our whole ordeal the GRAFTER'S CLUB gave us no end of support. They not only give emotional support whilst in hospital but even well after you leave hospital. Recently we all went to Flamingo Land as a family with other families of children who have been burnt. We had a fantastic day out. our first together since leaving hospital. But to carry on their fabulous work we need to raise as much money as possible, so I hope you can help us do this as we would love to give something back to such a worth while charity so they can carry on helping children who have been badly burnt enjoy some well deserved treats and support.
