<p>As I approach my half century I really don't need any more presents. A far better gift would be to support this wonderful charity which does so much to make the lives of long-stay patients and their carers that little bit less grim. Leo spent 3 of his 41 years in the isolation unit at Hammersmith Hospital so this cause is close to my heart. For the price of a birthday card we can easily reach this target.</p>
