My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hexham Hospital's breast cancer unit is wonderful. The staff are incredible kind and sympathetic to everyone's needs and foibles.
When I was going through chemo in 2010, on bad days I couldn't walk 25 yards! Now I am so fit and healthy, that I have walked 25 miles of Hadrian's Wall. Hexham Hospital need an Encore/Enspire biopsy system to help breast cancer patients this will save time in the diagnosis period easing the stress of those going through the trauma and will enable those patients with benign tumours to have them removed without extensive surgery. This will free up the time for those with cancerous tumours to be treated sooner.

I have not managed to reach the target needed yet, so hopefully the Hospital is going to raise the remaining amount at the moment to buy the machine and I will continue to fund raise in the New Year to raise the balance.

I just cannot believe how wonderful, kind and generous everyone is being and I cannot thank all the people who have and are supporting me enough. I am really overwhelmed.
Have re-christened Hadrian's Wall to HAD RAIN'S WALL
Done it - can't believe it. And I finished the challenge on my own as everyone else went home before the last 5 miles....then I walked home across 2 miles of boggy Fell. Now I know I am mad! But I feel fantastic - can't believe I have achieved it.
