Story
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my page.
In 2007 I went to Cambodia to volunteer with The Cambodia Trust - a wonderful charity that helps disabled people.
They make prosthetic limbs for people who have lost limbs through landmines or motorbike accidents or braces for children who are born with club foot or other defects.
They provide these treatments to people in poverty for free and also run a school to train Cambodians to make the prosthetics and braces and to give follow-up care.
The trust also carries out rehabilitation work in villages to educate people about disabilities as many disabled people are feared by their communities and consequently ignored and rejected.
The staff at CT are overworked but happy and lovely and they made me so welcome that I would really like to do something to support them and the truly amazing work they do.
I'd really love it if you could help me - even if it's just a few pounds.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks in advance for donating - I really appreciate it.
Much love - Caroline x
