We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

All five of us are taking part in The Warriors-at-the-Water event, a 23-mile sponsored cycle around the whole of Rutland Water! (or 17 miles without the peninsula... It all depends on how the kids gets on!) We are hoping to raise awareness and lots of money for Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA),  with all funds raised going towards researching a cure for the disease and to support people living with Motor neurone disease.

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones or nerves in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles which leads to weakness and wasting. As many of you know, we continue to be inspired  by our local Stamford friends, who are living with the devastating effects of MND and we're proud to be taking part in this great event, the first big fundraising event for the newly formed Stamford branch of MNDA.

All money raised will go to Stamford MNDA and then will be subsequently split between 50% Cambs, 30% Lincolnshire, 20%  Rutland and Leicestershire.
