Story
I am officially a marathon runner! Phenomenal experience in so many ways.
Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who cheered me on during the run and to everyone who has sponsored me so far - I have been bowled over by people's support and am so happy that this excellent Spitalfields-based charity is getting £££ as a result of me doing some exercise - win win!

So I managed to complete a 4.5 mile run* (*walk - I hurt my foot!) for Crisis last year - running a marathon should be a piece of cake. Right? RIGHT? I find the prospect very exciting - not terrifying in the least. Not a bit. No.
Please pray for me/donate some money - preferably both. I am grateful for any amount of sponsorship.
I guess it goes without saying that I feel very strongly about the issue of homelessness - but I'll say/write it anyway... I have been a Crisis Christmas volunteer for the past three years & the work of Crisis obviously continues throughout the year - Prince William's in on it too: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8523178.stm
What £100 means to Crisis:
• £100 could pay for a day's training in the Crisis Skylight Cafe, equipping someone with the skills to get a full-time job
• £100 could keep 20 homeless people healthy by covering the costs of their prescriptions at the Crisis Christmas medical centre
• £100 will pay for four hours of tuition for an entire class using the Skylight centre
• £100 would pay for a homeless person to sit their Maths and English GCSEs
• £100 could buy a Crisis member some smart clothes for an interview to help them get back into work
• £100 could pay for Christmas dinner for 33 guests at one of the Crisis Christmas centres.
(UPDATE: ran the Bath half marathon on 07 March on a spectacularly cold and beautiful day - race time was 01:53:43, which was much better than I deserved, considering my pathetic training schedule).
