Leeds Half Marathon 2018 · 13 May 2018 ·

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Thank you so much for visiting my page.

I recently lost my mum and experienced first hand what a difference great palliative care can make to a patient and their family.

Wheatfields Hospice offers incredible care whether patients are staying on the ward, visiting the Day Therapy Unit or living at home.  The care and compassion here knows no bounds.  It seems hard to believe that this hospice is mainly funded by charitable donations.

I would love to say I have been training hard for this but over recent months I have spent virtually every weekend back in Ireland - can you train for a half marathon in only 3 weeks?  I really hope so
